Located in the center of Zernez, a few kilometers from the National Park.
Coffee Fümm offers packed lunches (on order), ideal for your hike in the beautiful nature of the Engadine.
In the morning we offer a rich breakfast.
We also cater for the little hunger in between.
Treat yourself to a break with coffee and cake or an ice cream on the warmer days.

Engadine - nut cake

In former times it was a tradition in the Engadine farmhouses to bake a (fuatscha grassa) for Sunday or for guests - a rich pastry made of shortcrust pastry with lots of butter. Later this specialty was refined by Engadine confectioners and combined with other Engadine delicacies - the cream caramel. In a roundabout way, the tree nuts, which were brought back home by the emigrated Engadin confectioners, finally found their way into this speciality. The Engadin nut cake is still made today according to a traditional recipe with great care and by hand. The melting short pastry, which consists of flour, sugar, butter, eggs and a little salt, is made daily early in the morning. For the filling, sugar and honey are later heated in a large pan, stirring with a huge wooden spoon. Once the sugar mixture is a light caramel brown, cream and di tree nuts are added. Finally, the dough and filling are used to make the excellent, melt-in-the-mouth nut tarts - a delicacy that today enjoys great popularity worldwide.
